Bright and Beautiful

Spring in Washington is dreary, to be sure, but it just makes the new growth that much more lovely. Here are a few bright spots discovered between showers during my week. :)

Will & Raeann

I'm not going to lie, this session was a little nerve-wracking. It was my first solo shoot, but I could not have asked for a more perfect couple to work with. Will and Raeann are friends of my friend's cousin [confused yet? :) ] and were a lot of fun. Here are some photos from our session in West Seattle!

A Birthday Bash

Although delayed by busy lives and illness, we were able to have a little family gathering for my aunt's birthday in March. Of course, I had my camera, so here's a little glimpse.

Danielle & Tyler

Spring may be here, but in Washington it's by name only! Luckily though, when I had the pleasure of photographing Danielle and her boyfriend Tyler last month we were blessed with a spot of sun. These two were so much fun and a joy to work with- they're both naturals in front of the camera. It seems I've timed this blog perfectly, too, because it's Danielle's birthday!

Peter & Hege

What an amazing international love story these two have! Hege hails from Norway, Peter from Washington, and they met in Japan doing missionary work, which they've recently set out to continue. You can definitely see their newlywed bliss and God-given connection in these photos. More after the break as usual!

Katelyn's Senior Shoot

I've just returned from a nice and relaxing albeit rainy spring vacation and started a new quarter at school. I have a bit of a backlog of photos to share with you, so look forward to multiple posts this week!

About three weeks ago I ventured out in the rain in downtown Bremerton to take pictures of this lovely lady, my friend Katelyn. See more of her fabulously fun pictures after the jump.

Good Morning!

It's a very wet morning at my house, and the lovely forecast for the rest of the week is today on repeat unfortunately. That doesn't mean the day can't be bright, however! I was reminded of something my brother once told me while making my tea: he had me convinced that the reason honey came in bear-shaped containers was because the honey was made from bears' brains! What a typical big brother. :)
Of course, I know now that his little fact isn't true, but the memory made me smile in the midst of all this dreary Washington weather. Even my tea mug was inspiring this morning:

The quote reads: "Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of thos things and still be calm in your heart." -Unknown

I hope you all find some peace in your day!

Isaac

I had the pleasure of assisting Jennifer photograph this adorable little guy in February. The weather here in Washington was typical- clouds to rain to snow to sleet and back again- but we managed to bundle Isaac up and play with some bubbles on the porch. More pictures after the jump!

Hello!

I thought I'd introduce myself and imagisme through my favorites, inspirations, and some fun little facts.

The idea of making a blog came from my mentor, Jennifer Duval (go check out her website and blog on my inspirations page, she’s amazing!) I was originally going to showcase some of my work from client photo shoots I accompanied her on by posting on her site, but I soon realized I had too much to say for just a few posts over the course of my school photography project. Thus necessitated the creation of imagisme and this inaugural post! Follow onward for more about me and my photography.

This is the current background for my laptop- a little reminder that spring is coming to brighten my day! Taken  May 2008.
